About This Recipe

Lamb and Vegetables is a nourishing, premium raw dog food made with 70% lamb (including 10% lamb bone), 10% lamb offal (kidney, liver), and 20% nutrient-rich vegetables like broccoli, carrot, turmeric, and sea kelp. This chunky mince offers a balanced diet combining high-quality protein from lamb with the natural health benefits of vegetables.

Lamb provides rich, easily digestible protein and healthy fats to support strong muscles, healthy skin, and a shiny coat. The lamb bone delivers essential calcium and phosphorus for strong bones and dental health, while lamb offal is packed with vitamins and minerals, including iron and vitamin A, which promote overall vitality.

The addition of vegetables enhances this meal's nutritional value. Broccoli and carrots are rich in fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins that support digestion and immune health. Turmeric provides anti-inflammatory benefits, and sea kelp is a natural source of iodine and trace minerals, supporting thyroid function and a healthy metabolism.

Ideal for dogs requiring a balanced, nutritious diet, Lamb and Vegetables promotes digestion, boosts immunity, and supports overall well-being. Choose Lamb and Vegetables for a wholesome, complete meal that helps your dog thrive.

My vet recommended adding veg to raw — turns out Vale already do it perfectly. Coat is incredible, stools are textbook.

The turmeric and sea kelp make the difference. Reduced inflammation, better mobility. He's a different dog at 9 years old.

Finally don't have to chop veg myself. Same balanced ratio every single time. The convenience is unbeatable.

Why Vale Raw + Veg

The whole meal.
Literally.

Some dogs thrive on meat alone. Others benefit from the fibre, antioxidants and micronutrients that only whole vegetables can provide. Our Raw with Veg range delivers both — a species-appropriate meat base enhanced with carefully selected plant ingredients that support digestion, reduce inflammation and provide the nutritional completeness that gives you total peace of mind.

Whole Vegetables. Not Powdered Fillers.

Every tub contains 20% real, recognisable vegetables — broccoli, carrot, turmeric and sea kelp. Not the dehydrated dust you find in commercial pet food. These are whole-food ingredients chosen by canine nutritionists for their proven anti-inflammatory and gut-supporting properties.

A Complete Meal — Nothing Else Required

The 70/10/20 ratio delivers the same biologically appropriate foundation as our 80/10/10 range, with the added benefit of plant-based fibre, antioxidants and phytonutrients. Balanced, complete, and ready to serve straight from the tub.

Turmeric & Sea Kelp in Every Single Tub

Turmeric is one of nature's most potent anti-inflammatories — proven to support joint health, reduce pain, and aid recovery. Sea kelp provides iodine and trace minerals that support thyroid function, metabolism and immune resilience. Both are included as standard, not sold as add-ons.

“Vet said keep doing exactly this”

Luna is a 6-year-old Labrador with chronic joint stiffness. Our vet suggested adding turmeric and anti-inflammatory foods to her diet. When I showed him the ingredient label on this, he said 'this is exactly what I'd recommend — just keep doing this.' Her mobility has noticeably improved in 8 weeks.

“Senior dog moving like a puppy again”

Archie is 9 now and was really slowing down. Switched to the Lamb & Veg three months ago and the transformation is remarkable. He's playing again, walks are longer, and his stomach hasn't had a single off day. The turmeric is doing something incredible.

“No more DIY veg prep — this is perfect”

I used to buy 80/10/10 and spend Sunday afternoons blending broccoli and carrots to add in myself. Now I just open a tub and it's already done — same ratio every time, perfectly balanced. Saves me hours and Rosie absolutely loves the taste.

“Best stools he's ever had — sounds odd but it matters”

Koda had inconsistent digestion on 80/10/10 alone. The vet suggested more fibre. Switched to Duck & Veg and within a week his stools were perfect — firm, consistent, smaller. The vegetable fibre clearly makes the difference for his gut.

Raw + Veg Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Our 80/10/10 range is 80% meat, 10% bone and 10% offal — a pure meat-based complete meal. The Veg range uses a 70/10/20 ratio: 70% meat (including 10% bone), 10% offal, and 20% fresh vegetables (broccoli, carrot, turmeric and sea kelp). Both are nutritionally complete. The Veg range adds plant-based fibre, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory botanicals for dogs who benefit from additional gut support or joint care.

Yes — the Raw with Veg range is a complete and balanced meal. The 70/10/20 ratio provides all essential macro and micronutrients your dog needs. No supplementation is required when fed as part of a varied protein rotation. It's an excellent standalone diet for dogs of all breeds and life stages.

Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful natural anti-inflammatory that supports joint health, reduces pain and aids recovery — particularly beneficial for senior dogs or active breeds. Sea kelp is rich in iodine and over 60 trace minerals that support thyroid function, metabolism, immune health and coat condition. Together, they provide functional benefits that go far beyond basic nutrition.

Absolutely. Many of our customers alternate between the two — feeding 80/10/10 at one meal and a Veg variety at another, or rotating weekly. Both ranges are complete, so mixing simply gives your dog the benefits of both approaches. There's no nutritional conflict whatsoever.

The same guideline as our 80/10/10 range: feed 2–3% of your dog's ideal body weight daily for an adult dog. A 20kg dog would eat approximately 400–600g per day. Puppies require proportionally more depending on age and growth rate. Use our feeding calculator on the collection page for a personalised recommendation.

Many owners find the additional vegetable fibre helps regulate digestion — particularly for dogs who experience loose or inconsistent stools on a pure meat diet. The broccoli and carrot provide soluble and insoluble fibre that supports healthy gut transit, while turmeric has been shown to soothe gastrointestinal inflammation. If your dog has chronic digestive issues, the Veg range is an excellent starting point.
